They claimed their findings(not covered by warranty) is irreversible. Can’t trust Hoka on their quality and warranty. Switching to a different brand.

Original review Mar 12, 2025

I used the shoe for about 6 months for casual walking. I didn't use it every day.

I walked less than 10 miles a month. The design is peeling off. It is a workmanship and quality issue. According to Hoka, I should return it for review.

I got the shoe back and they claim it's normal wear and tear, so it's not covered by their warranty.

What a joke! Shame on them for bragging about their quality workmanship on their product!

I have been trying to get HOKA to send me a return label for over two weeks! Wasted hours of my life; is this the companies way of getting customers to give up and take the $$ hit? It's NOT THAT HARD to generate a return label!

Updated by user Nov 22, 2024

A very bad experience!

Updated by user Nov 22, 2024

Want ME to pay for a return label before they will refund anything. And gave me two different addresses to return.

I cannot afford to do this but as HOKA/Deckers Co. this shouldn't be the case!

Original review Nov 22, 2024

Hoka could not email me a return label. Hello?

There is obviously a UPS here! At this point, if you cannot help me return this order, the Support Team should just compensate me for these shoes.

I have spent hours/days trying to get someone to help me return these at Hoka without any resolution. Thank you.

Resolved: Mis-delivery, poor customer service, survey defect

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I returned the shoes!

They were ugly and didn't fit. HOKA also refused to refund my cost of getting the shoes sent to my by my neighbor!

Original review Nov 04, 2024
The shoes were misdelivered, unattractive, and too large. Customer service at HOKA blamed the misdelivery on an old address in Southern California (I live in Sacramento) on FEDEX.

FEDEX blamed HOKA. My previous neighbors kindly received and shipped the shoes to me ($16). I researched, and the problem is with the logistics services that HOKA 'farms out' to another company. I am returning the shoes.

And when I attempted to complete the customer survey to voice my concerns, a pop-up message said the survey was finished (it showed 66% completed), and would not let me complete it. That's one way to eliminate negative responses! HOKA ONE ONE [if the name was changed, why are all the email addresses that are @***.com - for example, for my escalation claim?] needs a better survey company, as well as a logistics and customer service team. And no email allowed?

Yuck! Back to Orthofeet for me.

Cons:
  • Shoes are hideous and not sized correctly
  • Terrible customer service and obscuring owner deckers brands
  • Inept logistics delivery service that is farmed out

Preferred solution: cost of having neighbor ship mis-delivered HOKA shoes to me $16, apology, acknowledgment that the mis-delivery was HOKA's responsibility because it's logistics service used an old mailing address.

User's recommendation: Do not purchase from HOKA ONE/ONE-ONE (or the parent company Deckers Brands)

Warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
HOKA - Warranty
Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

I wanted to express how extremely disappointed I am in your warranty process. My daughter has ankle and shin splint issues, and as such we are extremely particular about the sneakers we purchase for her.

We have purchased several types of Hokas from our local running store, Fleet Feet in Portland, Maine. The most recent purchase was on June 12 of this year, and the soles are already shredding and compressed, offering little padding. This is the first time we have had this issue. Because the shoes are so expensive ($187), we only purchase one pair at a time.

Now I am being told I need to send her shoes back to the company to be evaluated for the warranty. It's literally the only pair of sneakers she owns. In order to send them back, I would have to go out and spend another $187 so she has shoes to wear while you decide what to do with them. And then, if the warranty is accepted, they will be replaced, but I will still be out an additional $187.

The soles should last more than three months for the cost! I am so disappointed in your company and will now be looking at alternatives and no longer purchasing Hokas.

Running shoes not for Africans

I have decided to abundant the matter since Hoka ignored my complaint but at the same time i have taken a view that i will never again buy a Hoka product

Original review Jan 17, 2025

I bought running shoes at R3000, expensive but used them one time for 5km which i finished barefoot because i could not stand the pains caused by this shoes. I then bought an adidas of R1000 and it feels better than the Hoka.

The company hoka failed replace this shoes with a new or used pair on other types of shoeso or to respond to my concern.

It was my first time buying their shoes and never again. They say better the devil you know, maybe i should stick to what i know and worked for me.

To get a return label

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So, I spoke to customer service today about getting a return label to exchange the shoes I purchased in September for my son's Christmas present. They wouldn't let me receive a return label to even exchange the shoes for a different pair. This is ridiculous; they should at least exchange the shoes for another pair.

Absolutely Horrible customer service

Less than a year old, the bottoms of my Hokas started falling apart. When I went onto their website, found out that I have to return the shoes at my expense, and then they'll decide if they're eligible for replacement.

Never heard of this in 50 years buying sneakers. Never again.

User's recommendation: Buy a different brand. There are lots of good choices out there. Hokas, although comfortable, are not the only good shoes to buy.

Terrible company!

This company is not reputable. They won't let you return a shoe that fell apart after 10 wears for your money back.

They will only give you a credit. I then tried to place an order using the gift card. I entered the gift card number for the $145 credit they had given me, and submitted it online. First, the screen said it would be applied on the screen, then they did not apply it and now charged me the full amount again.

I called my credit card and they said I have to call back after it posts. This company should be shut down! I had to pay to ship their defective shoes to them too, which also cost $15.35, and they did not refund the sales tax, so I am out $145 plus a tax of $14.86, plus the cost to return the shoe of $15.35!

And now this happens and I'm out another $151.99! I could scream!

I ordered shoes from the Hoka site on May 5th at 7:55pm, and I still haven't received the shoes and it is now the 25th of July. How is this possible?

I understand that I live in Croatia but waiting for an order for almost 3 months is not okay.

Please either give me a refund or send me the shoes. I haven't gotten any updates on where the shoes are or anything.

Run, hoka, run. And fix the problem!

Dear Hoka,

I think someone has made a huge mistake in the production line of the Match X2 running shoes: the sizes of the shapes were switched!

I have been running with Hoka for two years using a Clifton 9, size 9D. Great shoes!

When I had to switch to a new pair, I thought that it would be good to have a new 'toy' to improve my performance (something such as a Pebax plate). So, I decided to acquire the Match X2! It was gorgeous!

But... it was a mistake.

Even though I got the same size (9D), it was certainly made one and a half size smaller!

After a short run, it was impossible to continue... it was squeezing my feet!

I thought: 'Ok... it could have been a bad day. Let's try again!. Let's give this piece of technology another chance!. I bought the same size. No big deal...'

And it was not only a mistake, but a HUGE mistake!!!

This time, not only did the size seem wrong (smaller than Clifton's), but the heel collar literally destroyed the skin on both of my heels! Not only could I not run anymore (because of the pain in the heel due to the friction), but I had to come back home in an Uber. I could barely walk!

Well... I had to share this story so you can figure out who switched the shapes.

Best of luck.

Not happy poor quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Shoes lasted less than 5 months being worn 2-3 times a week. They were comfortable but are not durable.

Very poor quailty Customer service was like too bad can return them. Warranty claim still in limbo weeks later.

The $30 shoes I normally get last for at least a year or more. HOKA is not worth the money.
